Meet our new Director:
Bob Robson
Even though Bob has been involved with barbershoppers for nearly forty years, it is only in the last 5 to 6 years that he has been working on his chorus directing skills. In that time he has been assistant director of the Western Hospitality Singers and for the past 3 years has been the chorus director for the Wild Rose Harmonizers of the Red Deer Chapter. Bob received his Certified Director status in 2007, after attending two summer sessions at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Directors College at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He has attended a number of director classes and workshops in the past 6 years, and he has also helped to organize a great number of them as part of his role for Chorus Director Development on the Operations Team of the Evergreen District.
Directing a women’s chorus will be a new challenge for him, especially one with such a great history as the Chinook Winds Show Chorus. It will be a learning experience for Bob and the chorus singers alike.
